Identity verification: how does it work and what if it fails?

Step-by-step explanation of ID verification, common mistakes and solutions

For our doctors to process your request, they need to know who they're dealing with. That's why we ask you to verify your identity once. This is legally required when prescribing medication.

Why is verification necessary?

We only receive your name, age and gender. This information is needed to establish who we're dealing with and to carry out the legally required medication safety check. We don't receive any additional data.

How can you verify?

You can verify with an ID document: identity card, driving licence or passport.

  • Scan the front and back of your document

  • Make sure the lighting is good and the photo is sharp

  • All four corners must be visible

Are photos taken?

During ID verification, photos are requested once during onboarding. This assessment is carried out exclusively by a licensed doctor and handled with full confidentiality. The photos aren't visible to anyone else and are deleted after assessment.

Verification failing: what now?

  • ID scan unclear: try in better lighting or use the QR code to scan via your phone

  • Request rejected: get in touch via the chat: we'll explain what went wrong and how you can try again

Would you rather not complete identity verification? Then we can refund your payment. Get in touch via the chat.
